Electronics retailer Best Buy has announced that it will sell Apple’s new iPhone 3G starting from September 7th at its 970 stores located in the USA. This makes Best Buy the first 3rd party retailer permitted to sell iPhones. At the moment, customers in the U.S.A who want to obtain an iPhone 3G must get it either from Apple’s retail stores or from those of service provider AT&T. This new deal between Apple and Best Buy will expand customer choices. Best Buy is going to offer the 8GB model of iPhone 3G at a price of 199$ and the 16GB version at 299$, along with a service contract with AT&T for 2 years.
